We added nothing, BUT we lost nothing

Last weekend we tried the hour-record again. This year we have no fortune. After a record-pace-start I tried to accellerate for lap 3 doing 96+km/h. The speedometer did not show me the expected speed. I went slower and slower even pushing harder and harder. I thought: It’s perhaps not my day. I had to stop and we saw ones more our front tyre flat…damn!
Today I was mountainbiking at home again, finally a sunny day in switzerland and…I get back happy!
So we added no kilometer to our record but nobody was able to become a serious competitor – we lost nothing.
