92^{432 km} - ONE hour

Right back from Fuerteventura. For the first time we decided to spend our holidays or my training camp on Fuerte. I wasn’t that happy with the island. Very windy all the time, up to 40kn and red flags on the beaches. After three days I rode 75% of the pavemented roads in both directions. It was hard to fight against the wind, especially downhill. Most of all I hated the sand in the eyes, in the mouth and everywhere on the bike. But I did it and in the end this bad circumstances were a good physical and mental training. And knowing at home it was wet and very cold all the time, I enjoyed the training on the sunny, dry and warm moon-landscape island.

We tested Metastretto on the military track in Thun. We are happy with the result. I feel good in the new bike and I was able to do successful starts.

As I posted „almost done“ I made a mistake. Most of the bikeparts were done but to assemble such a prototype and to figure out how to do it is a long way! After Walter Berger and Simon Zumbrunnen finished the mechanical parts, Stefan Grünig took off and we spent two weeks in the garage. We „finished“ the bike. Now I should be able to handle by myself the bike who is no longer in the very heavy molds. I believe, there is still a lot of work but there is time until next summer…

Now I hope to find a good way to train and to finalize metastretto.
